Mom's Email

I found this old email from my host mom in Illinois as I went through my laptop files this morning. This would be an email when I first arrived in my country Indonesia, after pursuing High School Diploma in the US.

Oh, how I miss you, Mom :((


Hi sweetheart--it was good to hear you on the phone but even nicer to get a long email from you.

I am glad you or parents are pleased with how you are --not just physically but emotionally as well. You do look better with the weight Dara and I hope you do not lose it all !
I did not think anyone could be more stubborn than you hahahah! But I bet it is real test with you and your mom at times --just like us! So spicy breakfast sandwich--with fish?
Patience with yourself and others during the readjustment time --you never know when you may feel "threatened or insecure". Have you seen any friends and when do you start school?

I have talked to Helly twice telling her that we heard from youy and you are safe and then she called trying to give me your parents phone numbers and then decided maybe they weren't right. Dad and I are going to order one of the Indonesian prepaid phone cards so we can call you periodically and all--we will set up specific times so we know we can get you. It will be much cheaper that way for sure--wow $2.00 minute ugh! I will also call and see if they do one in reverse from Indonesia to here so you can have it. I am not sure about that tough. It will be a couple of weeks before I may get that done though.

I will tell everyone hello of course for you I will let Linda know you are home safe as well. But I know they are in Australasia now so I will wait till the end of the month.
